About This Role
A FTSE 250 listed company is seeking an experienced Head of Tax to lead its in-house tax function. This is a rare opportunity to shape the tax strategy of a major UK business, reporting directly to the CFO.
Why This Role?
This is a newly created role as the company brings its tax function in-house for the first time. You will have the autonomy to build the function from the ground up with full support from the CFO and Board.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the group tax function and manage a team of 4
- Develop and implement group tax strategy
- Manage relationships with external advisors and HMRC
- Oversee all UK and international tax compliance
- Provide tax advisory support on M&A and corporate restructuring
Requirements
Essential
- ✓CTA or equivalent qualification
- ✓10+ years post-qualification experience
- ✓Experience managing an in-house tax function
- ✓Strong technical knowledge across UK corporate tax
Desirable
- ○Listed company experience
- ○International tax experience
- ○Experience with SAP or Oracle tax modules
