Group Tax Manager (In-House) - Listed Multinational

About This Role
A multinational listed (and one of the world's top 10 producers in their field) is seeking an experienced Group Tax Manager to join their London based tax team. You will lead UK taxation matters and support overseas teams on global tax matters, managing UK and overseas compliance and reporting, transfer pricing, tax compliance, and international tax strategy across a complex global group. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on high-impact projects including M&A, financing, and corporate restructurings while gaining exposure to international tax matters. Based in London with flexible working arrangements, you will report to the Senior Tax Manager and collaborate with senior stakeholders across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and review UK and Zambia corporate income tax compliance obligations, coordinating with external advisers and internal teams
- Provide practical tax advice to finance, commercial, treasury and legal teams on business transactions, withholding taxes, indirect taxes and cross-border issues
- Support the Group's transfer pricing framework, documentation requirements and intercompany arrangements across multiple jurisdictions
- Lead on tax risk management, governance frameworks, tax audits, enquiries and dispute resolution processes
- Support and train local tax teams on corporate tax, withholding tax, VAT and mining tax issues, promoting best practices and process improvements
- Assist with corporate restructurings, acquisitions, disposals and financing arrangements
- Monitor changes to Zambian tax legislation and communicate implications to stakeholders
- Contribute to continuous improvement of tax processes, controls and documentation standards
Requirements
- ✓Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study
- ✓Minimum 6 years' experience in tax with a professional services company or within industry
- ✓Strong understanding of corporate tax principles and international tax concepts
- ✓Right to work in the UK without visa sponsorship
- ✓Fluency in English with proficiency in other languages highly regarded
- ✓Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CTA
